Nuala Crockett – Practice Manager
After raising her children, Nuala pursued her long held ambition to work in dentistry, embarking on a new career path that allowed her to follow her passion. She graduated from University College Cork with a diploma in Dental Nursing and a certificate in Dental Radiography, achieving distinction in both.
Over the years she has gained invaluable experience working alongside highly skilled clinicians across a wide range of dental specialities. This breadth of knowledge has given her a deep appreciation for patient care and the importance of creating a positive experience at ever stage of treatment.
In 2022 Nuala Joined the team as Practice Manager, where she combines her clinical background with her love of organistation, teamwork and patient support. She especially enjoys building strong relationships with patients, supporting the professional growth of the whole team and ensuring the practice runs smoothly behind the scenes.
Eleanor McEoin – Dental Nurse
Eleanor is a highly experienced dental nurse with over 15 years of clinical expertise in general and specialist dentistry, including oral surgery and periodontics. She joined Ó Croinín Dental in 2023 and plays a vital role in supporting surgical procedures and patient care.
Eleanor began her dental career in 2005, qualifying as a dental nurse in 2010 from the Dublin Dental School and Hospital after earning a degree in Graphic Design. She has worked in a variety of practices across Dublin, Athlone, Boyle, and more recently in Cork City and West Cork.
Dedicated to professional growth, she holds a Dental Radiography Certification from Cork Dental Hospital and regularly completes CPD training in areas such as implant systems, handpiece maintenance, and medical emergencies.
Eleanor is known for her calm, supportive approach and attention to detail in every aspect of patient care.
Rachel Brooks – Dental Nurse
With a background in Economics and Sociology from University College Cork, Rachel brings a unique blend of academic insight and compassionate care to her role as a dental nurse. Her studies in human behaviour and social dynamics sparked a strong interest in healthcare, leading her to pursue a fulfilling career in dental nursing.
Rachel is dedicated to promoting oral health and supporting patients throughout their dental journey. Known for her attention to detail and warm, empathetic approach, she strives to make every visit a positive, stress-free experience.
By combining clinical expertise with strong communication skills, Rachel ensures that patients from all backgrounds feel heard, understood, and cared for. Her transition from the Arts to healthcare has shaped her holistic approach, emphasizing both emotional support and high-quality care.
Rachel finds the greatest reward in being part of a team that helps improve people’s health and confidence every day.
Rebecca Daly – Dental Nurse
Rebecca Daly is a valued dental nurse at our Cork-based clinic, known for her warmth, professionalism, and commitment to exceptional patient care. She joined the team in January 2024 and has been a dedicated and enthusiastic member ever since.
Rebecca graduated with a Diploma in Dental Nursing from Cork University Dental School and Hospital, where she developed a strong clinical foundation and a genuine passion for dentistry. Eager to grow in her career, she is currently pursuing further qualifications in Dental Hygiene, reflecting her commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Rebecca is passionate about ensuring patients feel comfortable, informed, and supported throughout their dental visit. Her friendly and approachable nature helps put even the most nervous patients at ease, and she takes great pride in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
She is proud to be part of a caring and collaborative dental team, where patient wellbeing is always the top priority.
Ciara Faughnan – Dental Hygienist
Ciara graduated from Cork University Dental School and Hospital (UCC) in 2021 with a First-Class Honours in Dental Hygiene. As her primary qualification is in dental nursing, she has over 16 years experience in the dental industry.
She has worked both at home and abroad before returning to UCC in 2019 to pursue a career in Dental Hygiene.
She has happily been apart of the DOC team since 2023. She works in conjunction with Dr O’Croinin to prevent and treat periodontal issues, offering routine scale and polishes and treatment for advanced stage gum disease.
With an additional qualification in Oral Health Promotion, she is passionate about preventive care. She wants hr patients to leave her chair happy and confident in their own knowledge and ability to care for their teeth and newly restored dentition
