Diarmuid graduated from UCC in 1999. Like many newly qualified dentists he went to the UK for what he expected to be one or two years….it turned out to be 22 years! While in London he worked as a general dentist initially, then following hospital-based training eventually focused on implant and restorative dentistry.
He was awarded MSc in Dental Implants from KCL (Guys) 2007 and an MSc in Restorative Dentistry from UCL (Eastman) 2011. He received a Fellowship from the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners (2012) where he has worked part-time for the past ten years as a tutor to students on the Diploma in Restorative Dentistry. Diarmuid also works as an examiner for the Faculty.
Since 2017 he has divided his time between London and the UCC Dental Hospital where he holds the position of Specialist in Restorative Dentistry. Diarmuid enjoys all aspects of restorative dentistry, and has a special interest in dental implants and challenging restorative situations.
